Councilor De Guzman is married to family physician, Dra. Amalia E. De Guzman ( MD, CFP, DFM, Fellow Life PAFP) and has three (3) children with her:
The eldest is Dan Carl, a graduate of B.S. Entrepreneurship from Don Bosco Technical College and currently serves as the Barangay Chairman of Barangay Burol.
Second is Danica Mae, a graduate of B.A. Business Economics from University of the Philippines and finished JURIS Doctor Degree at Jose Rizal University.
The youngest is Dan Mark, a graduate of B.S. Psychology from San Beda College and finished Doctor of Medicine at Our Lady of Fatima University and he is now a full-pledged medical doctor.

Prior to being politician, Danny De Guzman was already engaged in public service by being a Hospital Administrator for Mandaluyong City Medical Center. De Guzman had previously served Mandaluyong as its First District Councilor for three terms, 1998 to 2001, 2001 to 2004, and 2004 to 2007;
De Guzman authored more than 40 proposed city ordinances in which 30 are enacted into local laws.
